Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 18, in the Coldwater Baptist Church, with the Rev. J. P. King officiating, assisted by the Rev. Gilbert Arthur. Burial was in Coldwater Church Cemetery, under the direction of the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Mrs. Blackwell was an employee of Natchitoches Parish Hospital. Survivors include her husband, J. M. Blackwell of Natchitochs; a son, Lynn D. Blackwell of Dallas, Tex,; a daughter, Mrs. Linda L. Housley of Allen, Tex.; a brother, Mack Melton of Sacramento, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Ford of Hornbeck, Mrs. Willie Ivy of Monroe, and Mrs. Alva Crain of Atlanta, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
