The Sabine Index - Willie Blackwell

  5 May 1967 - Willie Blackwell, 45, of Alexandria died
Saturday, April 29, in the Veterans Hospital in Alexandria after
an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held Sunday, April 30, in the Bethsadia
Baptist Church with the Rev. Willis Greer officiating. Interment
was in the Fenders Cemetery under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home of Many.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nadine Blackwell of
Alexandria; one son Phil Blackwell of Alexandria; three brothers,
Jim and O. E. Blackwell of Many and Walter Blackwell of Deridder;
four sisters, Mrs. Cordie Taylor and Mrs. Vivian Harden, both of
Shreveport and Mrs. Audie McComic and Mrs. Pearl McComic, both of
Zwolle.
