All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Floyd Blackwell Floyd Blackwell, 40, of Ferguson, Missouri, formerly of Many, died as the result of a gunshot wound at his residence on Wednesday night, May 10, at 10:30 p.m. According to reports, Ferguson's home was burglarized, and he was killed. Suspects in the case have been apprehended. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Edna Blackwell of Many; two sons, Scott Blackwell, and Dale Blackwell, both of Ferguson, Missouri; three daughters, Pamela Blackwell, Tammy Blackwell, and Robin Blackwell, all of Ferguson, Missouri; two brothers, Bert Blackwell of Sulphur, and Kenneth Blackwell of Lake Charles; four sisters, Mrs. Claude Keith of Morland, Kansas, Mrs. Glen Cook of Leesville, Mrs. Wayne Polk of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Mrs. Rodney Walker of Shreveport. Funeral services were held on the Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, May 13, at 3 p.m. Officiating was the Rev. Herman Knight. Burial was in the Fender Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Ricky Blackwell, Greg Frederick, Mike Nichols, Bobby Webb, Frankie DeRosier, and Tom Austin.
