Blackwell Bertie Alvis Blackwell, ?, of Zwolle, died at his residence on Wednesday, Aug. 9, at 4 p.m., following a short illness. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elva Blackwell of Zwolle; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie DeLatin of Stonewall, and Mrs. Donna Paddie of Houma; two sisters, Mrs. L. A. Faulkner of Leesville, and Mrs. John Cloran of South Houston, Tex.; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel on Friday, Aug. 11, at 4 p.m. The Rev. Jim Owens officiated. Burial was in the Many Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Mike Tarver, Tom Jones, Charles Bryant, Benny Rivers, Kenny Faulkner, Henry Peacock, Levi Remedies, Rudolph Faulkner, and Randy Cupid.
