L. E. Blackmon

  Luther Erby Blackmon, 64, died Sunday, Dec. 8, in the Beauregard
Memorial Hospital in DeRidder.

  Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the Gospel
Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. George Smith, and
the Rev. Luther Nichols officiating. Burial was in the Lewis
Cemetery.

  Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Maurene Floyd of
DeRidder, and Mrs. Nita Burchanan of Ragley; two sons, B. K.
Blackmon of Lake Charles, and Swayne Blackmon of DeRidder; four
sisters, Mrs. Medie Sumler of Leesville, Mrs. Murtie Rolen of
Many, Mrs. Hazel Burel of Pineville, and Mrs. Marie Crutchfield
of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three brothers, Gilbert Blackmon of Many,
J. C. Blackmon of Vidor, Tex., and Horace Blackmon of Shreveport;
and 14 grandchildren.
