The Sabine Index - Kathryn Blackman

  20 Jun 1947 - Miss Kathryn Blackman, age 21, died at a
Shreveport sanitarium last Friday. Funeral services were
conducted at Bethsadia Baptist church 2:30 p.m. by Rev. Howard
Small, assisted by Rev. Jeff Holliday and Rev. Brown. Interment
was under direction Massingill funeral home.

  Surviving relatives are: mother, Mrs. Clara Blackman, Zwolle;
grandmother, Mrs. W. M. Blackman, Zwolle; two uncles, Clarence
Blackman of Many, and Oddes Blackman, Lake Charles; aunt, Mrs.
Mallie Foster, Zwolle.

  Miss Blackman was a graduate of Many high school and was a
student nurse at Schumpert sanitarium, Shreveport, when she
became ill.
