Gilbert W. Blackmon

  Gilbert W. Blackmon, 66, of Many, died in his home on Friday,
Dec. 15, at 4 p.m., following a short illness.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Grace Blackmon of Many; two
sons, Lamoine Blackmon of Florien, and Carl Blackmon of Houston,
Tex.; two brothers, Horace Blackmon of Shreveport, and J. C.
Blackmon of Vidor, Tex.; three sisters, Myrtis Roland, and Marie
Cruthfiled, both of Many, and Hazel Berel of Pineville; and one
granddaughter, Deedia Blackmon of Florien.

  Funeral services were held on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m., in the
Florien First Baptist Church. Officiating were the Rev Herman
Blackmon, and the Rev. J. R. Haylnon.

  Pallbearers were Norman Blackmon, Lamar Hayes, Dewayne Blackmon,
Paddie LaGrange, Pat McCormic, B. C. Blackmon, Kenny Maines, and
Richard Haes.
