Kimberly Renee Blakney

  Funeral services were held for Miss Kimberly Renee Blakney, 17,
of Converse, at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 19, at the First
Baptist Church of Converse. Rev. James H. Miller officiated,
assisted by Rev. Richard May. Burial was in the Converse
Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Drewett
Funeral Home of Mansfield.

  She died Friday afternoon, September 17, at Schumpert Medical
Center in Shreveport, following an automobile accident. Miss
Blakney, born in Garland, Tex., and a resident of Converse since
1972, was a 1982 graduate of Converse High School.

  She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Blakney; one
brother Scott Mitchell Blakney; and one sister, Melisa Ann
Blakney of Converse; paternal grandfather, Lonnie O. Blakney of
Enid, Okla.
