Grace H. Blackmon

  Funeral services for Grace H. Blackmon, 83, were held at 2 p.m.,
Jan. 1, at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel.

  Bro. Jimmy Evans officiated. Interment was in Florien Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Blackmon passed away Dec. 30, 1994, at Willis Knighton
Medical Center, Shreveport.

  Mrs. Blackmon was born Feb. 7, 1911, in Sabine Parish, to Elena
Byrd, and Marshall Hayes.

  Mrs. Blackmon married Gilbert Blackmon on September 23, 1937, in
Sabine Parish.

  Survivors include two sons, Lamoine Blackmon of Florien, Carl
Blackmon of Houston; three sisters, Edna McCormick of Many,
Rosena Bell of Shreveport, and Delila Blackmon of Vidor; two
brothers, Jeff Hayes of Many, and Theador Hayes of Beaumont; one
granddaughter, Deedra Blackmon of Florien; and a host of nieces
and nephews.
