Blum Mrs. Vie Davis Blum of Shreveport, died Sunday, Oct. 2, in Schumpert Hospital, after a long illness. She was an employee of Arnod's Beauty Supply House, and a Shreveport resident for many years. Mrs. Blum is survived by her husband, Henry W. Blum, Shreveport; two daughters, Miss Mary Sue Blum of Shreveport, and Mrs. W. L. Moore of Blytheville, Ark.; six brothers, Johnny Davis, and Robert Davis of Shreveport, Leon Davis, Alvin Davis, and Lannie Davis, all of Belmont, and Hoyt Davis of La Porte, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. William H. Loftin of Pleasant Hill; and one grandchild. Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 10:30 a.m., in the First Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill, with the Rev. J. C. Salley, the pastor, officiating. Burial was in Pisgah Cemetery near Belmont. Drewett Funeral Home in Mansfield is in charge. Pallbearers include Bill Loftin, A. T. Petree, Hershel Wyatt, David Duncan, Fred Rigdon, and W. B. Jones.
