Frank Chance. Burial was in the Sardis Cemetery. Mr. Blankenship died Saturday June 30, the result of an accident on an offshore drilling rig out from Lafayette. Survivors include his widow; two sons, Billy Joe Jr. and Andy Blankenship of Pelican; three step-sons, George W., Edwin and James Terry Britt all of Zwolle; five step-daughters, Mrs. Sally Mae Logan of Lafayette, Mrs. Helen Louise Castie of Shreveport; Mrs. Viola Sepulvado of Zwolle, Willie Jean and Mary Jo Britt both of Zwolle; his mother, Mrs. Mageline Craig of Pleasant Hill; one brother Bobby L. Blankenship of Shreveport; two half brothers, Tommy Neal of Coushatta and John Franklin Neal of Pleasant Hill; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Lightfoot of Hornbeck.
