R. D. Blankenship

  Roger Don Blankenship, 26, of Pleasant Hill, died in the
Veterans Administration Hospital, Houston, Tex., Monday, Sept.
22, of injuries received in a traffic accident, July 19, in
Beaumont, Tex.

  Services were at 3 p.m., at Springridge Baptist Church. The Rev.
Fred Salter Jr. officiated. Burial was in Springridge Cemetery,
with Drewett Funeral Home, Mansfield, in charge.

  Surviving are a daughter, Stacy Michelle Blankenship, Beaumont;
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Blankenship, Pleasant Hill; three
brothers, Samuel R. Blankenship, Beaumont, Marley Blankenship,
Hillister, Tex., and Melton W. Blankenship, Alexandria; and three
sisters, Mrs. Ada Sexton, Mrs. LaJuana Petre, and Mrs. Patricia
DeSoto, all of Alexandria.
