Blankenship David Otis Blankenship, 69, of Natchitoches, died Saturday, Dec. 27, in a Shreveport hospital, after a brief illness. a native of Marthaville, he was a retired painter. Services were to be held at 2 p.m., Monday, in the Beulah Methodist Church, with the Rev. Charles Bates officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Ozila Miller, and Mrs. Ottice Russell, both of Natchitoches; one brother, Clifton Blankenship of Minden; one half-brother, W. M. Blankenship of Greenville, Tex.
