Samuel Haudie Blankenship

  Mr. Samuel Haudie Blankenship, 72, of Pineville, died in the
Rapides General Hospital in Alexandria on Nov. 1, at 4:15 p.m.,
after a short illness.

  Funeral services were held in the Springridge Baptist Church,
Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. Interment was in the Springridge
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of
Many.

  Surviving relatives are his wife, Sara Estelle Craig Blankenship
of Pineville; three sons, Samuel Retail Blankenship of
Alexandria, Marley Craig Blankenship of Hollister, Tex., and
Melton Wayne Blankenship of Alexandria; three daughters, Ada
Martell Sexton, La Juana Ann Petre, and Patricia Lynn DeSoto, all
of Pineville, La.; one brother, Norrie Blankenship of Pleasant
Hill; 12 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

  Mr. Blankenship's body was taken to the Springridge Baptist
Church on Tuesday, Nov. 2, to lie in state until service time on
Wednesday.
