Blankenship, 80, of Pleasant Hill, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Adrian Pater, and Rev. Willis Greer officiated. Burial was in Beulah Cemetery near Marthaville. Arrangements were under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home in Mansfield. She died Monday, Dec. 7, at 3:15 a.m., at her residence. Mrs. Blankenship, born in Marthaville, and a lifelong resident of Pleasant Hill, was a member of the Eastern Star No. 13, in Pleasant Hill. She is survived by her husband, Kirby S. Blankenship of Pleasant Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Norma Jean Brown of Shreveport, and Mrs. Mary Ellen Cook of Natchitoches; four sisters, Mrs. Mae Gilbert of Winnsboro, Tex., Mrs. Bessie Sullivan of Shreveport, Mrs. Eva Brown of Keithville, and Mrs. Beulah Cole of Shreveport, La., and one grandchild.
