Interment was in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Bowling passed away on December 28, 1994, at Sabine Medical Center. Mr. Bowling was born September 15, 1932, in Greenup Ky., to Elizabeth Hughes and John Clay Bowling. He was a welder for an oil field business, and a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his widow, Faye N. Bowling of Many; two sons, Charles Bowling of Shreveport, and Tracy Bowling of Many; four sisters, Lucille Wittmer, Louise Duff, Alma Kessler, and Iva Deem, all of New Albany, Ind.; one brother, Wilburn Bowling of New Albany, Ind.; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, James Bowling; and a brother, Charles Bowling.
