Mrs. Effie Blankenship

  Mrs. Effie Blankenship, 71, died May 25, after an extended
illness.

  Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. A. E. O'Connor of
Dallas, Tex., and the Rev. James Eames of Shreveport. Interment
was in the Spring Ridge Cemetery. Grandsons served as
pallbearers.

  She is survived by her husband, D. D. Blankenship of Belmont;
one daughter, Mrs. Eugene West of Huntsville, Ala.; three sons,
Hammond Blankenship, and Dewayne Blankenship of Houston, Tex.,
and Edgar Blankenship of Shreveport; three brothers, Horace Moses
of Converse, Jessie Moses of Vivian, and Walter Moses of
Pineville; two sisters, Mrs. Lurlene Burrow, and Mrs. Marie
Dyess, both of Shreveport; 13 grandchildren; and four great
grandchildren.
