Edward D. Blankenship

  Funeral services for Edward Dewitt Blankenship, 14, were held at
1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 24, at Oakmont Church of God in Shreveport.
Burial was in Spring Ridge Cemetery near Pleasant Hill.

  The youth, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Blankenship of Shreveport,
was fatally injured in a motor scooter accident, Dec. 22.

  A resident of Shreveport all his life, Edward was a student at
Oak Terrace Junior High School. He was a member of the school
band.

  Survivors, other than his parents, include two sisters, Mary
Ann, and Sharon Ruth Blankenship; maternal grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Edward Dyess, Marthaville; and his paternal
grandfather, David D. Blankenship, Belmont.
