David D. Blankenship

  David Dean Blankenship, 84, died Friday in a Shreveport
hospital, after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 6, at 2:30 p.m., in
the Spring Ridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. Eames, and the
Rev. Billy Franks officiating. Burial was in the Spring Ridge
Cemetery.

  Survivors are three sons, Arthur H. Blankenship of Houston,
Tex., Dudley D. Blankenship of Pasadena, Tex., and Edgar M.
Blankenship of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Doris West of
Huntsville, Ala.; three brothers, Kirby Blankenship of Pleasant
Hill, Melvin Blankenship of Oxford, and Clyde Blankenship of
Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Lurline Free of Pleasant Hill, and
Mrs. Leona Chapman of Pleasant Hill.
