Blankenship, 89, of Pleasant Hill, died Monday, Sept. 26, in his home, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday, in the Progress Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Progress Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield. Survivors are his widow; four sons, William Blankenship of Pleasant Hill, N. E. Blankenship of Converse, Ernest Blankenship of Pleasant Hill, and Samuel Blankenship of Beaumont, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Mavureen Pattison of Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Free, and Mrs. B. S. Chatman, both of Pleasant Hill; four brothers, D. D. Blankenship of Belmont, Melvin Blankenship of Oxford, and Kirby Blankenship, and Clyde Blankenship, both of Pleasant Hill.
