Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City, with the Rev. David Mitchell, pastor of the Circle Drive Baptist Church in Bridge City, officiating. Mrs. Ballard passed away Sunday, January 7, in San Antonio, Texas, after an illness. A native of Many, she lived in Bridge City for fifty five years, was retired from the Texaco Refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, and was a member of Circle Drive Baptist Church. Mrs. Ballard is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Glynda and James Slagle of San Antonio; sisters, Florence Williams of South Houston, Texas, and Joy Dickerson of Redlands, California; a brother, Emmett Caldwell of Groves, Texas. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Mona Roberts, and Shannon Woollett, and her great grandchildren, Georgia Woollett, and Austin Woollett.
