John Henry Boone

  Mr. John Henry Boone died Tuesday, March 15, 1983, at 3:25 a.m.,
at the age of 97. At the time of death, Mr. Boone had been
hospitalized after a short illness, at Sabine County Hospital in
Hemphill, Texas.

  Mr. Boone, a member of the Little Flock Baptist Church in
Negreet, was a long time resident of Sabine Parish, before moving
to Hemphill. Survivors include two sons, Walter and Clyde Boone,
both of Hemphill; three daughters, Jessie McFarland, Hazel Clark,
and Maurine Starks, all of Hemphill.

  Funeral services for Mr. Boone were held Wednesday, Mar. 16, at
4 p.m., at Little Flock Baptist Church in Negreet. Burial will
follow at Little Flock Cemetery. Bros. Richard Bass, and Clarence
Howell officiated at the services. Services were under the
direction of Starr Funeral Home of Hemphill, Tex.
