Julia Meshell Bem

  Mrs. Julia Meshell Bem of Leesville, died Tuesday, July 19, at
Leesville General Hospital. She was 72.

  Mrs. Bem is survived by two sons, Meldon Man Meshell of
Leesville, and Donald Ray Meshell of Lafayette; two daughters,
Bertha Cardwell of Dallas, Tex., and Gladys Laverine Skipper of
Lafayette; one brother, John Meshell of Zwolle; two sisters,
Pearl Bebe, and Mary Garcie, both of Zwolle; 5 half brothers,
Louis, Wilson, Johnny Ray, Gary, and Billy Wayne Meshell, all of
Zwolle, and Bernadette Cage of Arkansas; 14 grandchildren; and 7
great grandchildren.

  Services for Mrs. Bem were held Thursday, July 21, at 2 p.m., at
United Pentecostal Church of Zwolle. Interment was held at Zwolle
Cemetery, with Bros. N. W. Luman, and Melving Rhodes officiating.
Funeral services were under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.
