Behan Sr., 70, were held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, July 7, 1995, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating was the Rev. Steve Gilley, pastor of Providence Baptist Church, Burial will be in Providence Cemetery, Springridge. Mr. Behan died Tuesday, July 4, 1995, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Peason, and retired from LSU Medical Center. Mr. Behan was a member of the Providence Baptist Church, and a veteran of the U. S. Army, WWII. Survivors are his wife, Lillie Behan; mother, Mrs. Katie Behan; one son, James L. Behan Jr. and wife Penny; two daughters, Rita Wakefield, and Rhonda Sutton and husband Bobby Sutton Sr.; one sister, Oleta Leach, all of Shreveport; two brothers, Odell Behan, and E. E. Behan, both of Hornbeck; three granddaughters, Sarah, Jennifer, and Brandi; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Bobby Leach, Junior Behan, Dale Behan, Jason Byrd, Raymond Baggs, Billy Byrd, and Eddie Ray Byrd. Honorary pallbearers were Anglers Sunday School Class.
