Bamburg, 81, of Pleasant Hill, were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, at the Drewett Memorial Chapel in Mansfield. The Rev. Earl Broderick officiated, assisted by the Rev. T. B. Gillooly. Burial was at Wallace Cemetery in Pelican. Mrs. Bamburg died Tuesday, March 26, 1985, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, after a brief illness. Mrs. Bamburg was a native of Red River Parish, La., the daughter of the late William David Fair, and the late Beulah McCain Fair. She attended LSU, and graduated from Louisiana State Normal. She taught school in Red River, and Natchitoches Parishes. She was a member of the Wallace Baptist Church, and the Women's Missionary Organization. She is survived by her husband, J. T. Bamburg of Pleasant Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Max Ann Garrett, and Karen Ward of Shreveport, La.; two granddaughters, Karen L. Garrett, and Shannon Leigh? Ward of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. E. L. Glover of Bossier City, La., Miss Novis Fair of Bossier City, and Mrs. Aubrey Slaton of Minden, La. Pallbearers were Earl Wilson, Clarence Bowden, Ivy Fair, B. B. Haire, Terrell Hines, and Marvin Anderson. Family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorials be made to the charity of donor's choice.
