Officiating were Rev. Douglas Burnley. Assisting will be Rev. Ralph Hines. Burial was held at the Wallace Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Mansfield. Mr. Bamburg passed away Thursday, July 9, in Shreveport, following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Red River Parish, and was actively engaged in the cattle business for over 60 years. He was a member of the Wallace Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jarrett Taylor Bamburg Sr. and Susan Pickett Bamburg, and his wife Palma Fair Bamburg. He is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Mac Ann Brown and her husband Tom, and Karen (Katey) Ward and her husband James, all of Shreveport; two grandchildren, Karen Laroi Pickett of Dallas, and Shannon Leigh Ward of Shreveport; two grandchildren, Karen Laroi Pickett of Dallas, and Shannon Leigh Ward of Shreveport; two brothers, Huey Bamburg, and Robert Bamburg of Shreveport; five sisters, Ruby Tullous of Shreveport, Roselle Greer of Coushatta, Susan Webb of Vivian, Athalee Dunnam of Ohio, and Doris Cox of Plain Dealing; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Charles Glover, Carley Haaga, Forest Fair, Laine Casciola, Bobby Wise, and Jerry Fair. Honorary pallbearers were Clarence Bowden, Johnny Birdwell, Earl Wilson, Lyle Walker, Brack Haire, and Dick Anderson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donors choice, or the Wallace Baptist Church.
