Mr. Georg Assmussen Boyens

  Mr. Georg Assmussen Boyens of Many, 92, died Friday, Feb. 11 at
Sabine Medical Center in Many.

  Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Warren
Meadows Funeral Chapel with interment following at the Many Cemetery.
The Rev. Cyde Clayton officiated.

  Survivors include his son, Georg J. Boyens; daughter-in-law, Beth
Boyens; sister-in-law, Dorothy Williams Morrow; five grandchildren;
six nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

  Mr. Boyens immigrated from Germany to the United States in 1928,
and in 1934, he married Jo Anna Williams. He became a well-respected
businessman in his new hometown of Many, founding Boyens Hardware
which he operated for many years. The business is still in operation,
under the ownership of Mr. Boyens son, Georg Jo Boyens. Mr. Boyens
was a member of the Calvary was a member of the Calvary Baptist
Church of Many.
