All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Haskell Bankston Haskell Bankston, 51, of Many, died Monday, April 23, at 9:30 a.m., from an apparent heart attack. A neighbor, Norma Adams, who lives across the street from Mr. Bankston, called the Many Police Department, and said Bankston was dead on the ground in front of the trailer belonging to Stanley Brandon, located on Nabors Street. Many policemen El Paterson, and Deputy Coroner Dr. John, investigated and found Bankston had been mowing the lawn, had turned the motor off, and had reached the door before collapsing. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 25, at 10 a.m., at the Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Billy White officiating. Interment was in the McCormic Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. James Turner Jr., Miss Gloria Jean Bankston, and Mrs. Joyce Hardy, all of Many, and four grandchildren.
