Mrs. Levi Bennett Sr.

  Mrs. Levi Bennett Sr., 59, of Simpson, died on Thursday, Feb.
27, following a lengthy illness.

  Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Feb. 28, at the
Assembly of God Church in Simpson, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Mack
Wright, the Rev. Bruce Owens, and the Rev. G. A. Many officiated.
Burial was in the Welcome Cemetery, under the direction of the
Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.

  Survivors include her husband, Levi Bennett Sr.; six sons,
Travis O. Benett, Many, James L. Bennett, Ball, Purvis Bennett,
Simpson, D. T. Bennett, and Levi Bennett Jr., both of Sompson,
Jerry Bennett of Houma; two daughters, Mrs. Lena Wheelock,
Leesville, and Mrs. Carolyn Hobbs, Dallas, Tex.; three brothers,
Jesse Collins, and Joe Collins, both of Simpson, and J. V.
Collins, Austin, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Wright, and Mrs.
Mary Peacock, both of Port Arthur, Tex., and Mrs. Louise Johnson,
Houston, Tex., and 16 grandchildren.
