Mrs. Gertrude Burr Bennett

  Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Burr Bennett, 76, of Benson,
were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 27, 1997, at the First
United Pentecostal Church, Mansfield.

  The Revs. Michael E. McConnoughey, F. L. Diven, Jerry George,
and Garthel Burr officiated. Burial was in the Old Union
Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in
Mansfield.

  Mrs. Bennett died Feb. 25, 1997, at Schumpert Medical Center.

  She is preceded in death by her husband, Lanson Bennett; five
brothers, Arthur, Huey, Garthel, Guy T., and Dewey Burr; four
sisters, Inez, Ruby, Trudie, and Ruth.

  She is survived by one son, Johnny Bennett (wife Patti) of
Rockwall, Texas; three sisters, Thelma Phillips (husband George)
of Shreveport, Lovella Iles (husband David) of Oil City, and
Marie Antee (husband Willard) of Florien; three brothers, Rev.
Garthel Burr (wife Natalie) of Mansfield, Walter Burr (wife
Christine) of Hemphill, Texas, and Medford Burr (wife Sue) of
Zwolle; three grandchildren, Chanel Bennett of Carrollton, Texas,
Johnny Bennett Jr., and Derik Bennett of Rockwall, Texas; one
great granddaughter, Lexis Bennett of Rockwall, Texas; three
sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and numerous nieces and
nephews.

  Donations may be made to the First United Pentecostal Church, P.
