Ester Bowman

  Mrs. Ester Gandy Bowman, 73, of Athens, died Saturday afternoon,
Jan. 29, in a Shreveport hospital, after a long illness.

  Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Monday, in the Athens
Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Ronnie Hollemon officiating.
Burial was in the Salem Cemetery, under the direction of Conger
Funeral Home of Arcadia.

  Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. R. L. Monnette of Shreveport;
one sister, Mrs. Mary Lewis of Athens, two brothers, Harry Gandy
of Athens, and Jimmy Gandy of Many; and two grandchildren.
