The Rev. Louis Coppage, pastor of the United Methodist Churches in Vivian, and Rodessa, officiated. Graveside services were at 2 p.m., at Bayou Scie Cemetery in Zwolle. Mr. Barr died at 2:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 9, at North Caddo Memorial Hospital in Vivian, after a sudden illness. A native and former resident of Zwolle, Mr. Barr had lived in Rodessa 32 years. He was retired from Arkansas-Louisiana Gas Co., and was a member of United Methodist Church in Rodessa, and the Zwolle Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elma R. Barr of Rodessa; one son, Howard C. Barr of Vivian; two daughters, Mrs. Sue May of Blanchard, and Mrs. Carolyn Mayson of Natchez, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. Willie May Maines of Many, and Mrs. Emma Middleton of Zwolle; and four brothers, Ollie Barr of Ida, P. R. Barr of Zwolle, Fermer Barr of Gladewater, Tex., and Frank Barr of Kilgore, Tex.; and one grandchild. Pallbearers will be Tom Carter, James Trant, Weymond Moon, Garner Brackman, Norman Bryant, A. C. Lovett, Tom Gray, and Tyson Vann.
