Berry Services for Jewel David Berry were held at the First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Ray Dyess, and Aubrey Veuleman officiating. Burial followed in the Marthaville Cemetery, under the direction of the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Berry, 68, of Marthaville, died on Tuesday, April 11, 1995, in Natchitoches Parish Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church, a retired employee of the U.S. Soil Conservation Service, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Jean Berry of Marthaville; one son, Ira Berry of Marthaville; one daughter, Beverly Tatum of Marthaville; eight brothers, Johnny R. Berry of Natchitoches, Joel Berry of Ennis, Texas, Jerral Berry of California, Jesse Berry of Moore, Okla., Joyce Berry of Shreveport, Jack Berry of Bossier City, Joe Berry of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Jerry Berry of Marthaville; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Kevin Berry, Robert Berry, John Berry, Jerry Berry, Wayne Babin, and Charlie Davis.
