Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 24, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at Red Rock Cemetery in Vowells Mill. The Rev. Lowell Bell, and the Rev. Daniel Lowe officiated. Services were under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Mr. Berry was a carpenter for George Allbritton, and Many Lumber Co. He attended the Many Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Joyce Berry of Vowells Mill; four sons, Thurman Leon Berry Jr. of Many, Carlos Ray Berry, Robert, Dale Berry, and Michael Dean Berry, all of Vowells Mill; one sister, Elizabeth Baker of Natchitoches; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Brad Tarpley, Kenneth Rains, Brian Settle, Bobby Goodman, David Rigsby, and Butch Calhoune. Honorary pallbearers were Kevin Berry. Sherman Honeycutt, Elbert Tarpley, and Vernon Wester.
