All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Joseph Milton Barbee Funeral services for Joseph Milton Barbee, 79, were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 15, 1995, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, with Father William Spencer, O.F.M. Pastor of St. Catherine Catholic Church officiating. Burial was at Forest Park Cemetery. Mr. Barbee died Saturday, August 12, 1995, at 12:20 p.m., at his residence, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Barbee was a native of Ft. Jesup, and a resident of Shreveport for 55 years. Mr. Barbee was a plant Assigner for South Central Bell. Mr. Barbee was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, a life time member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, and a veteran of the U.S. Army, WWII. He is survived by his wife, Lillie Mae Deers Barbee; two sons, Larry Michael Barbee and wife Monica, and Joseph Robert Barbee, all of Shreveport; three grandchildren, Joseph Christopher Barbee, Monica Logan Barbee, and Tracey Aldridge; two sisters, Josephine Gibson of Many, and Inez Barbee of Siloam Springs, Ariz.; and one brother, John F. Barbee of Gentry, Ariz. Pallbearers were I. B. Malone, Rodney C. Crank, Joseph Christopher Barbee, Jimmy Riley, Wayne Smith, and Chris Brown. Honorary pallbearers were Delay Clark, Bob Williams, Johnny W. Cole, and N. R. Leonard.
