All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Joseph Leslie (Joe) Barbee Funeral services were held at three o'clock on Tuesday, Nov. 6, in the chapel of Pyeatte's Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, for Joseph Leslie (Joe) Barbee, who died about midnight Saturday, at his home near Siloam Springs. Mr. Barbee had been in ill health for some time, but had not been confined to bed. A native of Natchitoches Parish, he spent many years in Sabine, living at Ft. Jesup and Many. His first wife, Vola Holladay Barbee was a teacher in Many High School, at the time of her death in 1962. Survivors are the widow, Grace H. Barbee, and young son, John of Siloam Springs; another son, Joseph M. Barbee; and two grandsons of Shreveport; two daughters, Miss Inez Barbee of Garden City, Kansas, and Mrs. Josephine Gibson of Many; two brothers, W. A. Barbee of New Orleans, and B. D. Barbee of Siloam Springs; and three sisters, Miss Argerine Barbee, Mrs. Bessie Yeager, and Mrs. Winnifred Pyeate, all of Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
