Diana Lynn Barbier

  Diana Lynn Barbier, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman E.
Barbier, 2112 Lake Road, LaMarque, died Tuesday, May 12, in
Galveston County Memorial Hospital, following a long illness.

  She was a senior at LaMarque High School, where she had been
named to the Honor Society, and was a member of the a Cappella
choir. She was a member of the Highlands Baptist Church, and the
church choir.

  Other survivors include a sister, Ann Barbier; and two brothers,
Glen Barbier, and Paul Barbier, all of LaMarque.

  Funeral services were held at 9 a.m., Thursday, in Highlands
Baptist Church, with Rev. J. V. Helms, pastor, officiating. A
memorial service is planned for 4 p.m., Thursday, in the Florien
Baptist Church, Florien, La., where she will be buried.
Emken-Linton Funeral Home, LaMarque, was in charge of local
arrangements, assisted by Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were B. Corley, Othal Miller, T. W. Bolton, Ora
Mothershed, Alton Mothershed, Kenneth Williams.
