The Sabine Index - Alice Bruce 
  
  10 Feb 1939 - Mrs. Alice Bruce, age 64 years, seven months and 
28 days, died at the family residence Monday, February 6. Funeral 
services were held Tuesday, February 7th, at 2 p.m., at the 
Spring Ridge church with the Rev. John Price of Pleasant Hill 
officiating. Funeral directed by the Dennis-Green Funeral home of 
Many. 
  
  Mrs. Bruce is survived by her husband, W. W. Bruce of Pleasant 
Hill; five sisters, Mrs. Bardwell and Miss Effie Bruce of 
Shreveport, Mrs. Lydia King, Miss Maida Bruce of Pleasant Hill, 
Mrs. Gladys Jenkins of Smackover, Ark.; two sons, Jessie of 
Pleasant Hill and Walter Bruce of Cincinnati, Ohio, also fifteen 
grandchildren.
