Franklin E. Byers

  Franklin Elwood byers, 85, died at his home Monday, May 27.

  funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, in the
Zwolle Methodist church, with the Rev. H. Austin Smith
officiating, assisted by the Rev. W. D. Stepp Martin. Burial will
be in Zwolle Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral
Home of Mansfield.

  Survivors are his widow, five sons, Carl F. Byers of Zwolle,
Elvin T. Byers of Kansas City, Mo., Fred E. Byers, Homer O.
Byers, and Burton Byers, all of Shreveport; three daughters, Mrs.
Blanche Speakes of Keithville, Mrs. Dorothy Wilson of No Water,
Okla., and Mrs. Ruth Taylor of Dinuba, Calif.; 28 grandchildren,
and 18 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Moss of
Benton, Ark., and Mrs. Corine Land of Raymondville, Tex.
