W.) Scott Brooks, 87, who passed away Friday, Oct. 16, after a long illness, in Albuquerque, N. Mex. Rev. Harris, and Rev. Versie Miller officiated at the services, which were held in the Calvary Baptist Church, at 2:00 p.m. Interment was in the Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many. Mrs. Brooks is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Eloise Dillon of Albuquerque, N. Mex.; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild; one brother, C. F. Scott of Shreveport. Pallbearers were Joe Moran, Georg Boyens Sr., C. E. Glover, J. B. Vandegaer, Judge W. H. Ponder, Kenny Nichols. Mrs. Brooks was a long time resident of Many, and lived here most of her life, until moving to Albuquerque a few years ago. She was most active in church and civic activities.
