Brasher, 75, of Marion, widow of the late Charles W. Brasher, and mother of Mrs. L. A. Phelps of Zwolle, passed away Friday, April 26, at 6:30 a.m., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. W. English, in Sterlington, following a heart attack. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m., at the Marion Baptist Church, with the Rev. A. A. Nelson, pastor of the Sterlington Baptist Church, officiating. She is survived by three sons, W. N. Brasher of West Monroe, Jamie F. Brasher, and Mack B. Brasher of Bastrop; three daughters, Mrs. W. B. Smith of Magnolia, Ark., Mrs. C. W. English of Sterlington, and Mrs. L. A. Phelps of Zwolle; one sister, Mrs. Ada Brasher of Ferriday; two half brothers, Armond Sebon of Monroe, and Arthur Sebon of Huttig, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Tracy Smith, Gayle English, Alfred Sanders, Willie Henry, Leslie Lea; and her nephew, P. J. Brasher Interment was in the Old Union Cemetery, under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.
