Mr. Davis J. Braud

  Mr. Davis J. Braud, 79, died Thursday, Dec. 17 at IHS in Many.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19 at Florien First Baptist Church
with interment following at Ebenezer Cemetery. Graveside services were conducted by
Chapter 21 of the Sabine Disabled American Veterans. The Rev. Huey Tarpley and the Rev.
Bill Hines officiated.

  Survivors include his widow, Mavis Hopkins Braud of Florien; one son, Ronnie Braud and
wife Carolyn of Lindale, Texas; one daughter, Linda Bison and husband Speedy of Florien;
one sister, Anita Jefferson and husband Jeff of Metairie; six grandchildren; two
step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Braud was preceded in death by his
parents, Dolphy Adam Braud and Sarah Frederic Braud; and three brothers, Louis, Anthony,
and John Braud.

  Pallbearers were Dale Braud, Douglas Youngblood, Tony Braud, Glen Braud, Clark Benoit and
George Johnson.
