Joe F. Byrd

  Joe F. Byrd, 79, of Coushatta, died Sunday, March 30, at the
Midway Manor Nursing Home in Shreveport, after a long illness.

  Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, at the Rockett-Nettles
Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. M. N. Greer officiating.
Burial was in the Fort Jesup Cemetery near Many.

  Mr. Byrd is survived by one sister, Mrs. Vellie Brown of
Coushatta; one brother, E. D. Byrd of Fort Jesup, and a number of
nieces and nephews.
