Clarence Byrd

  Clarence Byrd, 64, of Florien, died in Many, Thursday, Oct. 21,
at 10:45 a.m., after a short illness.

  Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m., in the
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bobby McCullough, and
the Rev. Johnny Rhodes officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant
Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.

  Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Alma Byrd of Florien; two
sons, Harvey C. Byrd, and Michael Jane Byrd of Florien; two
daughters, Mary Ann Powell, and Patricia Byrd, both of Many; one
brother, Arthur Byrd of Florien; four sisters, Mrs. Jennie
Schmitz, Mrs. Beckie Vogel, Mrs. Ruby Self, and Mrs. Pauline
Nelms, all of Hornbeck.
