Robert Allen Beard

  Robert Allen Beard, 71, of Coushatta, died at 6:30 a.m., Sunday,
Oct. 2, at L. S. Huckabay Memorial Hospital in Coushatta, after a
brief illness.

  Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., in the Rockett-Nettles
Funeral Home chapel in Coushatta, with Brother Tom Gillooly
officiating. Burial was in the Ajax Cemetery, near Coushatta.

  Mr. Beard is survived by his widow, Mrs. Estelle B. Beard; four
sons, Robert Beard Jr., Ray Beard, and Gary Beard, all of Bossier
City, and David Beard of North Dakota; three daughters, Mrs.
Bonnie Rambin of Nacogdoches, Tex., Miss Dottie Beard, and Mrs.
Linda Stevens, both of Coushatta; a brother, Noel Beard of
Coushatta; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Martin of Coushatta, and Mrs.
Ethel Byrd of Ajax; and ten grandchildren.
