The Sabine Index - Mrs. J. A. Barrett

  12 Nov 1943 - Mrs. J. A. Barrett, 73, died at the residence
of her daughter, Mrs. E. C. Woodall, Mansfield, Friday, Nov. 5,
following an illness of several months. Mrs. Barrett had lived
near Mitchell for many years and leaves many friends in that
community to mourn her passing. She was a member of the Baptist
church at Oak Grove.

  Besides her husband, J. A. Barrett, Mrs. Barrett is survived
by seven children, three sons, Elmer of Oak Grove, Brook of Gary,
Texas, and Johnnie Barrett of Mitchell; four daughters, Mrs.
Clara Anam of Mansfield, Mrs. Ethel Harrell of Rayville, Mrs.
Mollie Sue Woodall of Mansfield and Mrs. Ida Horn of Hobbs, N.
M.; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at
Oak Grove Baptist church under direction Dennis-Green funeral
home.
