Oliver A. Barrett

  Oliver A. Barrett, 71, died Tuesday night, Jan. 16, in a
Converse hospital, after a long illness.

  Services were at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 18, in Fellowship
Baptist Church in Oak Grove, with the Rev. Ray Penefield, and the
Rev. Melvin Prothro officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove
Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home of
Mansfield.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Donnie Barrett of Converse;
two daughters, Ruth Bridges of Houston, and Mary Barrett of San
Francisco; his mother, Mrs. Ethel Barrett of Converse; one
brother, Leroy Barrett of Houston; two sisters, Bernice Nichols,
and Doris Marcantel, both of Converse; and two grandchildren.
