Cora Byrd

  Mrs. Cora Byrd, 47, of Florien, died in Fraser Hospital - North,
on Sunday, April 8, at 8:20 a.m., following an extended illness.

  Survivors include her husband, Harvey Byrd of Florien; one son,
Gerry Dale Ivey of New Iberia; three daughters, Kathy Hebert, and
Ginger Grab, both of New Iberia, and Marlene Johnson of Bradford,
Ark.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Byler of Florien; two
brothers, Allen Byler of Saudia Arabia, and Jake Byler of
Huntsville, Tex.; five grandchildren, and four step
grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church
on Tuesday, April 10, at 2 p.m. Officiating were the Rev. M. A.
McNeely, and the Rev. Johnny Rhodes, Burial was in the Pleasant
Hill Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.
