Ethel Byrd

  Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Byrd of Ajax, were held on
Sunday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. Mrs. Byrd, 77, died on Friday, Oct.
24, at Hanna Hospital in Coushatta.

  Mrs. Byrd is survived by her husband, Ancel Byrd, Ajax; three
sons, Marian W. Byrd, Irving, Tex., Everett J. Byrd, Ajax, and
John D. Byrd, Shreveport; four daughters, Bobbie J. Ratcliff, and
Margaret Anderson, both of Shreveport; Barbara Denham, Bossier
City; and Bea Harper, Houston, Tex.; one brother, Noel Beard,
Coushatta; one sister, Myrtie Martin, Coushatta; 13
grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home
Chapel in Coushatta, with the Rev. Foster Jennings officiating.
Burial followed in the Ajax Cemetery.
