The Sabine Index - Amos Byrd

  31 Mar 1961 - Funeral services for Amos Byrd, age 51,, who died
March 22 were conducted at Pisgah Baptist church at 11 a.m. Mar.
24 with Rev. A. J. Dupree officiating, assisted by Rev. Jason
Kay. Interment was in Pisgah cemetery under the direction of
Warren Funeral Home.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Martha Byrd of Toro, daughters,
Phyllis Byrd and Lafiette of Toro, father Devester Byrd of Toro;
brother, Taylor Byrd of Comanche, Texas; sisters, Mrs. Essie
Dupree; Blanche Byrd, and Mrs. Susie Ann Gordy of Shreveport,
Mrs. Maud Slay of Hornbeck, Mrs. Bertie Simmons of Evans.
